It is openly acknowledged that the local economy in the West Highlands
and Islands is significantly dependent on tourism and as such, the
'experience' of visiting the area is closely linked to 'good quality' and
'innovative' food and the 'service' provided.
Forteith Foodservice has been trading in the West Highlands and Islands
since 1955 and has acquired empathy for, and an understanding of, the
pressures on local independent Caterers and Retailers.
Forteith Foodservice are organisers of the biggest trade show in the West
Coast open to 'Trade Only' and includes a variety of over 55 Local and
National companies. The focus of the event is firmly on a mix of around 80%
on food with the balance made up of services and equipment. The inclusion
of over 55 Catering and Retail suppliers means there are many new
products and concepts to try and promotional offers to take advantage of.
Forteith Foodservice recognises the frustration of businesses in the West
Highlands and Islands. Often having to travel hundreds of miles to attend
major national trade shows only to find that many products are difficult or even
impossible to obtain in this area. The West Highland & Island Trade Show is
organised with this in mind. Suppliers are carefully selected for their ability
to offer quality products all year round through Forteith Foodservice.
The next West Highlands and Islands Trade Show is to be held at the Corran
Halls, Oban's premier exhibition hall, in February 2008. Dates and tickets
will be available later in the Year. A must attend event!
Tickets will be available on request from Forteith Foodservice later in 2008
